Register a Domain

The process for registering a domain name is pretty straight forward. For Starters lets be clear that once you register a domain name you do not "own" that domain, you simply own the registration rights to that domain. You own those rights only as long as you renew your domain every year and abide by the registry and registrar terms of service. Always read the TOS.

You can, depending on the registry/registrars TOS you can build a website on that domain , park the domain , or sell the domain name.

Actual Registration of a domain name requires that you first sign up for an account at a Registrar like Godaddy.com , Moniker.com  etc.. (There are NO fees for signing up for an account) .You will be required to provide your real name ,address, phone and generally a Credit Card or Paypal account to use to pay for your domain registrations.
